Megan Johnson was born in Daegu, S. Korea but resides in Portland, OR. She will graduate in June, 2016 with a B.S. in nursing from Oregon Health Science University and a minor in Human Services from Eastern Washington University.
Megan is the founder of Megan’s Mission, a non-profit organization helping the homeless and those in need for over 14 years, an author/illustrator of three children’s books and founder of a designer purse business, Meggie Originals. Megan is trained as part of the Neighborhood Emergency Team working with First Responders during a disaster, volunteers with the Portland Downtown Compassion Clinic providing medical attention to those in need, co-founded the Student Diversity Committee at OHSU and volunteers at Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Megan has received four National Awards for her community service work including the prestigious National Jefferson Award, is a Black Belt in Taekwondo and a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient.
