PresidentBio: Hello everyone my name is Erika Ventura-Isiordia, and I am a Senior nursing student at Oregon Health & Science University on the La Grande campus. I’m originally from Salem, Oregon. I completed my nursing prerequisites at Chemeketa Community College. My passion for helping others in a time of need is what ultimately made me want to pursue nursing. Upon graduation I hope to move to the Portland area and become an Intensive Care Unit nurse in a trauma unit. I am honored and excited to be the President of the Oregon Student Nurses Association and look forward to collaborating with all the future nurses around the state of Oregon!

Bio: Hello! My name is Madison, I prefer to be called Maddie! I am currently a sophomore at OHSU School of Nursing 3-year bachelors’ program on the La Grande campus. After I graduate, I have aspirations to become a NICU nurse. I am from La Pine, Oregon and attended Central Oregon Community College for 3 years, during that time I earned 2 Associate degrees. In my personal time I enjoy being outdoors, I have 2 dogs that love being at the lake, I love doing puzzles, and spending time with family! I am honored and excited to be the Vice President of the Oregon Student Nurses Association and cannot wait to get started!

Bio: Hey! My name is Emmy Wong and I am a sophomore nursing major at the University of Portland. I am beyond excited to be the 2021-2022 OSNA secretary. Some of my favorite things to do are going to the beach with friends, adventuring, baking, and any type of physical activity, especially HIIT workouts. I aspire to become either an Emergency Room or Float Pool nurse.

MembershipBio: Hello everyone! My name is Kyle Looc and I will be serving you all on the OSNA Board as the Membership Director for the 2021-2022 term. A little bit about myself, I am an incoming sophomore nursing student at the University of Portland, but I am originally from Sacramento, California. My hobbies include cars and eating out with friends. I was inspired to pursue a career in the healthcare field by my mom who was an Occupational Therapist. I found my passion for nursing while volunteering at a hospital in high school and have been pursuing it ever since. I am excited to serve you all this term!

Breakthrough to Nursing
Bio: Hello everyone, my name is Tenzin Tsering and I am an upcoming senior nursing student at OHSU School of Nursing (La Grande campus). I am from Portland, Oregon and plan to move back after graduation to work as an ICU nurse. Outside of school, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family by exploring new places to hike and eat. I am honored and looking forward to working with everyone at OSNA and serve as a Breakthrough to Nursing Director.

Community OutreachBio: I am an Oregonian native. Obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls in 2003. I have no children, and am an animal lover. I enjoy swimming, hiking, biking, and running. I currently live in Hillsboro. I plan on living in Hawaii part-time after graduating from nursing school and obtaining a job. I currently am the president of my local school nurses association and love to mentor fellow peers. I hope to eventually obtain my masters in nursing to be able to eventually teach new nursing students! Wherever the sunshine goes I try to follow. Life is short, but never giving up on my dreams brought me back to school in my 40s and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

Nominations & ElectionsBio: Hi everyone, my name is Alex Zabriskie and I’m a senior nursing student at OHSU La Grande. I’m excited to be a part of the OSNA, and am hopeful that I can promote both the importance of students’ voices and collaborate with nursing students across the state who wish to be involved within the organization. I’m interested in a few different areas of nursing, such as working in an intensive care unit or getting experience in mental health nursing and continuing my education.

Convention DirectorBio: Hello everyone! My name is Theresa Ho and I'm a senior nursing student at Oregon Health & Science University on the La Grande campus. I'm originally from Seattle, Washington area. I completed my nursing prerequisites at University of Washington-Seattle and took a couple years off to help rural communities of Vietnam through a non-profit organization by providing various types of healthcare and public health education. Through the organization, I was tasked and able to put on an amazing benefit dinner which raised over our goal to help fund medical supplies and cataract surgeries for the underserved, rural Vietnamese communities. Upon graduation, I hope to work and serve the Seattle area as an Emergency or ICU nurse and eventually do a couple years as a travel nurse. I'm excited to join and help plan the up-coming conventions as the Convention Director for Oregon Student Nursing Association!
